Our Finishing Process

We follow a clear, proven process on every project so you always know what to expect — from the first call to the final walkthrough.

1. Assessment: We evaluate the hung board, lighting, and your paint plan to recommend the right finish level.
2. Taping: We embed paper or mesh tape with a tight first coat for strong, crack-resistant joints.
3. Fill Coats: Successive coats of compound are feathered wide to blend joints into the field.
4. Sanding: We sand smooth with pole sanders and detail blocks, using HEPA dust control.
5. Texture & Prime: We apply or match texture, then prime to seal the surface for paint.

Materials, Methods & Service Details

We believe the right materials and methods make all the difference. Here are some of the details that go into our finishing work:

• Level 5 finish includes a skim coat over the entire surface for the smoothest possible result.
• We use setting-type compound for fast, low-shrinkage fills and drying compound for finish coats.
• Corners are finished with paper-faced bead for chip resistance.
